Picked it up this morning.  When the weather clears up a bit, I will grab the trusty Fuji camera and take a few pics.  The Hyper Silver isn't as light as I had feared, although I would have preferred the Steel Grey.

The initial impression is that I will have to keep an eye on the tacho, coz the engine is quiet.  I had to tow a trailer on the way to work today (albeit an empty bike trailer), and there was very little feel through the car as the trailer was bouncing around.

I have also found that it is very easy to sit and cruise in the wrong gear - ie. stay in fourth instead of shifting into fifth........

Love the USB port, and navigation through multiple directories on the stick was very easy to work out (without RTFM first   :D)

I haven't had a chance to read the mountain of info that came with the car, so I have to ask - how do you turn the esp on? And also, is there an easy way to change the bite point of the clutch, or is it just something that I will have to get used to?

Was a little surprised to hear the first oil change is not until 15,000km.  I will be taking them up on the option of first change at 1,000km - especially on a new engine - guess I'm a bit old school.

As much as KEG springs to mind, I reckon ZEG38 is the go.

Also, you don't turn the ESP on mate, instead you can disable it with the button to the right of the steering column on the dash. A light will warn you it is off on the instrument cluster.

See this thread about the clutch friction point:  https://www.i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,3461.0.html

Congrats M8 looking forward to the photos..

P.S. It is only an inspection at the 1000km free service (they won't change the oil unless you ask and pay..) Most of us have changed the first lot at around 7500kms..

I'm sure it says that in the manual too. but yeah pulling an empty trailer would be OK i would think. it's more guidelines then rules, right? :D
