According to http://subaru.co.uk/vehicles/impreza/15-rcmanual/ an Impreza's pro is boot capacity:

"Impreza can take on five passengers and five suitcases* at the same time"
* Testing by Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.

If anyone is interested on buying an Impreza, I found the five suitcases which fits exactly in Impreza's boot:

Just for the history, Impreza's boot capacity is 300lt

 

Don't know about the hatchback Impreza, but the classic shape saloon had a much smaller boot (both the original shape 1998 model and later shape 2004 (I missed the bugeye version that was really fugly)) than the i30................

It is much easier to get my golf kit into the i30 than the scoob.
