i met up with young Ian today,what a genuinely nice bloke.

we attempted to meet at the crown complex,that was a massive misstake.

every time i went into a carpark i had to drive straight back out again,car park full.

after an hour of going around the block and finding no parking spot we arranged to meet up at a petrol station a few kms down the road.

myself ,my son ,Ian, his sister and a mate of his from the maxima car club had a good old chat for over 2 hours.

in all the excitement of meeting for a chat, Ian neglected to check into his motel room.

he took off fairly quick once he realised.

we didn't take any pics.

i've been delaying my shopping holiday to brissy as i'm concerned about the road conditions. i can imagine they've been terribly torn up between Rocky to Brissy. the patch ups don't ever seem to last long once the trucks start rolling along. last report i had is about two weeks old, it was either maryborough or miriamvale they had ripped up the road completely and it was simply dirt. was only a couple days before all the bad weather so i dread to think what it was like after that.

what a great guy! to put up with the hassle of trying to find me... yes crown was a bad idea! a horrible horrible idea! who would have thought a casino would be full by 11am...
