Landed last night around 8pm Sydney time. Pretty foggy and was dark by the time we got on the bus to go to hotel. But so far so good.

Awesome! Make sure that while you're there you get shown the whole corporate out-for-drinks ritual involving oldest/senior member, youngest/junior member, spirits and beer games - they don't muck around! :crazy1:

First day done and dusted.
Had orientation and recieved our competitors packs (shirt, jacket, cap) and schedule.
Completed written test.
Attended opening dinner.

Havent left Hotel yet except a quick walk around the hotel.

We have had a stroke of luck in that we have been placed in group A which does the practical test tomorrow not wednesday. First time Australia has been in group A so thats great.

Nothing much else yet so enjoy a couple of pictures.

Good luck Tim!

BTW have you met the NZ team?  It turns out the 2015 1st place holder of the Hyundai tech comp in NZ works at the dealership/service center that my parents brought all their various Hyundai vehicles they have had over the years, and had them serviced with.   His name is Andrew.

Is a tour of the factory and design centre in your itinerary?  Pics please   :Prayer:

Based on the photos it looks like an all male competition. Any women at all?

Quick update. Only got in from the bar after a full day of testing.

Asan factory and Hyundai Steel Works tours tomorrow. No cameras allowed.

Not holding my hopes high as regional politics can play a major part in result
Although after my performance I am quietly confident

Nice - I might be having my Mum's elite in near Christmas to get the std. headunit swapped out for the GD-01 I got for it.

If I meet him might be nice to ask about the skills olympics.

Thanks guys its nice to get some positive support.

@Gareth, definately ask Andrew about us Aussies and Seoul Pub in Itaewon LOL.

@Alan, yes I have definately tried my absolute best. Even my trainer/supervisor has said I exceeded his expectations 😁

I have recieved praise from several competitors and supervisors from around the world and even recognition from some judges in the competition so if nothing else comes of it that is awesome in itself and makes me very proud of myself.

Ive only just got in from a night out in Itaewon so I'll get some pictures up later, most from bus on which I spent about 5-6hrs total today 😕 but ive now seen the Asan factory, Hyundai Steel and a Korean Folk Village.

Enjoying every minute so far. More to come later.

Thanks everyone.
