Had ice on my commute route last week, three cars went off the road(its a fairly low traffic road). Been taking a detour the days the quicksilver is below just to avoid having to put the studdeds on. I'm hoping to get to mid november before swapping.

No scraping yet, I got my engine and cabin pre heater out in time this year!

Århus is a metropolis compared to my closest towns and cities. :P

+ The new glass and touchscreen arrived for repair of my Moto G. :happydance:
+ Craig the USAF F16 pilot who ordered it via his online account got it to me and lent me his handy Torx 5 screwdriver for the 11 screws. :happydance:
+ I used a couple of YouTube videos to show me the sequence. :happydance:
+ Although a half dozen tools and materials were supposedly needed, I managed with the screwdriver, a pair of tweezers and a strip of stiff clear packaging plastic I cut (OK, scissors! :rolleyes:) to use as a soft blade and wedge. :happydance:
- All went well until I pried off the internal speaker and it separated in the wrong place, now one part dangling by 2 very slender, barely visible wires from the other. :sweating:
+ Recognising this as the beginning of the speaker's coil and seeing that 2 wires means that there's a good chance the connection is still intact, I quietly put it all back together as if nothing had happened. :whistler:
+ Decades of marriage and military service had prepared me well for that last step. :victory:
- I procrastinated for at least 24 hours before mustering the courage to download a sound check app and ensure it still works. :sweating:

Hire yourself a stump grinder or someone to do it for you....... it will save your back.....while you are at it , also a tree cutter that will take down the big tree and turn it into firewood for you
