How do I loosen it and get it off?

As requested, here are a few shots at various stages of development, not to mention the need for a final respray of the vehicle to do justice to the capability within, something like the semitrailer that carried K.I.T.T. around - am I right?

Our son has recently taken up dirt kart racing so, naturally, MR & Mrs G are now support crew.
We've decked out his Holden Rodeo ute with a new tray and the fibreglass canopy of a very close-matching Ford ute.

The inner sides of the tray now have aluminium rails for rolling the dirt kart's rack into position for transportation.
Under the rack is the space for a 6x3m gazebo, generator, compressor, fuel cans, etc.

I'm investing my engineering experience and 3D CAD and printing in modifications and am considering building a simple LED bargraph guage fed from an O2 sensor to help him dynamically tune his 2-stroke engine mid-race. We're also adopting a battery/starter motor-powered push trolley for his drop-starts on account of saving my back 

So as an owner of a 2015 i30 1.6 crdi DCT after 235000km, the unfortunate time has come that I need to replace the dual clutch system and actuator.

The issue started when after many months of noticing the clutch slipping on acceleration and rough starts, the gear changes were rough and the car would hesitate to accelerate after changing the odd gears. I was quoted around 4000€ for the fix, but since this is my "good" car (I have another Toyota vitz with 310000km on the clock that runs like a new one) I will need to fix it.

Kind of ridiculous that after changing the clutches at 70000km ( Clutch needs replacement after 77000 km for DCT ) I now need to fix it again. Service and oil changes are always on time, I don't mistreat the car and especially the gearbox as I know how sensitive it can be.

Considering that the market price of the car in Cyprus is around 6000-7000€ with this mileage (can be lower as well), 4000€ is like buying another car with all the issues that can appear later (turbo, DPF issues).

Will try to hold on to it for another year or so to make up for some of the cost, and move to a different car. Would not consider another DCT car ever again.
