Hi All, my i30 PRIMUME has an intrmitent problem: from time to time engine shutdown while driving in low speed, it also happen when waiting on lights.
Other signatures happen the same time:
1. ESP OFF yellow light turn on
2. When trying to re-ignite there are few options that happen:
    a. in most cases - can not ignite on first try, car is shaking, eventually it ignites but ESP OFF light still on   and car is faltering while driving. I nust stop and re ignite
    b. Some time can re-ignite immediattely and normally.
Another info: before ignation I have to dial code number.

Do you have an experiance with such problem, what was the diagnostic and the fix?
Thanks
Josef

What do you mean by dial a code?

Also sounds like it could be the crank sensor is starting to go, when you say 'Low Speed' your revs are dropping, possibly below X amount. If you slow down but keep revs up this could help prove my point. (Put it in neutral before lights, and keep the revs up, to save clutch?)

Alternatively it could be another sensor.

Also welcome

Dazz

Can't see the word stall in the original text, so could still be an auto.

Hi Josef

Welcome to the club; if you have the tools, make sure the battery leads are fixed tightly.

Josef, it would be better to reply to the comments in the thread rather than reporting them to us as only the admin and moderators see the reports.  Thanks! :goodjob:
