I finally reported our clock running fast issue at ou first major service and the service dept admitted it was a common issue and a new stereo has been ordered. This seemed like pretty good service (DVG Midland for anyone in Perth). I thought it would be a battle to get it fixed.

I'm pleased you had a good experience there.

I'm glad someone resurrected this thread as I was going to......

like most people ours runs fast ...about 12-15mins per month.....but here comes the BUT>>>......when we just went away for two weeks and just  sitting in the garage, it kept perfect time. Now we are driving it again, it has gained some time....anyone else noticed this?

That's a lot Neptune. Mine gains maybe a minute a month which I can live with.
Interesting about the effects of not driving the car though.

Another advantage (is there more than one?) of living in a developed country - ours resyncs via RDS on FM stations, constantly :P

Adds a whole new concept to keeping your mileage down (and saving time...)

I definitely had the fast clock issue and it was fixed by the radio getting replaced. Alas, I am having different radio problems now.
