My first car (like the majority of Poles during the bloody communism), was the fiat 126. It was generally due to the small size, called the "toddler". He was often the object of jokes funny. Today, well maintained 126s are quite expensive, because are slowly becoming a cult cars. My parents and then I, my wife also (as she was still Miss :winker:) we had three 126, and today we remember them nice.

It's funny how that happens - cars that are unpopular eventually become sought after.

P.S. Your mum and your wife look nice.  :D

My great grandfather had a white Fiat 126, I called it the motorised mothball! :snigger:

I seem to remember it had an odd starter lever arrangement down beside the handbrake :undecided: :undecided:

Yes! The first versions had the solution. Later normally have already been start-up with the key.

Well, my first car is known to have been Hyundai Getz 1.4AT GL
the best option for the beginner; despite its low clearance my car did never get stuck anywhere
it did never let me down

(bought in March 2008 - sold in January 2010)

First car I owned was a 4d Fiat 128 1100 CL 55HP mod.1978, exactly the same as this

It had quite good looks for a brick

But...
...the first 4wheel vehicle I've ever driven was pretty much the same as this

A basic 1955 model, 1HP. Her name was Koula. Not that fast but extremely reliable and with an auto pilot function.

The trouble with those 1955 models, I believe, was they had excessive exhaust fumes, especially when working hard.  :)

Just as a matter of interest, can you guys remember the rego's of your cars, I can. How many times do you look at the plates in their lifetimes.
