dimons silver i30cw 1.6td

Just a quick hello to the forum. Somehow I feel as if I know you over the last few weeks of reading, thinking and planning. Finally took the plunge with a new silver diesel wagon, sx 6 speed manual with cruise pack. The info from members about the availability of 6 speed was great as I doubt that I would have known to ask. In fact when I did a test drive 2 weeks ago the dealer was still denying the existence of the extra cog, presumably to get rid of any 5 speed stock left.

One question about servicing. I'm in Brunswick, Melbourne, Oz. Any feedback as to the quality of the various Melbourne dealer service departments? Do any come with a strong recommendation either way? Any other suggestions re independent servicing and warranty?

Look forward to hearing, and will try to post some pics in a couple of weeks after the babe arrives.

Yes - the Abbotsford place is where I bought - not sure now where to get servicing done. Havn't heard good reports about the other local dealership in Essendon either.

Anyone had any good experiences with servicing by Melbourne dealers?

Moderator 2i30's hasn't been on as much lately working long hours at the moment he is happy with his Melbourne Dealer (Dandenong seems to ring a bell...) Hopefully he will see this thread soon

yep,dazz is correct about dandenong,dandenong Hyundai to be precise.

they just cant seem to do enough for you,well that's my thoughts about them.

i had a seized bonnet hinge and my drivers window control buttons replaced yesterday under warranty. i even had my bonnet resprayed because the seized hinge caused the bonnet to twist on one side.

they dropped me at work and picked me up after work to collect my car.

G'day dimons. I'm sure you'll love the CW diesel. I have the auto as I do a lot of city driving. That said, the car is an absolute delight to drive and this forum is amazing for information and general good fun. Welcome aboard.
