There is no upper glove compartment in cars delivered to Russian market, one can buy it separately and the price is 65USD roughly.

strange, I thought only cars for Russian market are deprived of this box. By the way we have no any extra socket in a cargo hold (I doubt it is called like this in a car  ), nor any underfloor pallet for small items.

The RUS sticker was to be placed on the cars going abroad long time ago, so for the time being there is no certain rule if it is to be or not for those, who are traveling abroad by their cars. So I prefer to have it on my car in order to avoid any problems, which may arise while traveling in Finland where I use to go every month.
As far as the place where my decal was concerned I tried to avoid any contact the wiper with the decal, so the latter may last longer, meanwhile the Getz-club decal is stuck from inside.

In fact the reagents, which are dispersed on the road in a winter time in Russia, aggravate the situation significantly, not to mention the shoes, that don't live long as the materials of which they are made, are fretted by those reagents.

I don't know if the same type of device is used in your country, but in Russia they have become quite popular as may be hidden behind the parked car or anything else

Having driven closer one can see it more clearly


speed limit of that road - 60km/h, I was driving with 80km/h according to the speed gauge (77-78km/h in reality) and it didn't work on me (they never do)

Hmm, they work, actually and many Russians claim they have got letters, compelling them to pay a fine, but the device itself appears to be adjusted to 30+ km/h speed exceeding.

That's quite amusing 
It looks like an old TV on a stand.
The ones we have here are either mounted on tripods at the side of the road (take your piccie coming towards or going away), or hidden in the backs of white vans parked at the side of the road and now we have speed cameras at a lot of major intersections permanently mounted on yellow poles to compliment the permanent red light cameras, so if you go through on a green but are speeding, they get you anyway,.
I believe in Britain they put them into green rubbish bins? Is this correct?
And as for 30 km/h over, we get infringements at 7 km/h over.

Yes, we have them too. Some of them look like trash cans.

About the +30 km/h, you are talking about.. Probably too many people driving with +10 or +20 km/h, that it would make the camera brake down quickly -> taking pics every second 

On our highways, where the speed limit is 130 km/h, the radars are usually set to "above 150 km/h". Because, if they set it to 140 km/h, the tolerance will "kill it" (driving only + 3km/h over).. Over here, the tolerance for radars like those on the pic above is -> 5 km/h below 100 km/h and 7 km/h above 100 km/h. I don't know the tolerance for around 50 km/h. Probably 1-3%.

And if the cops are measuring your speed from moving vehicle (driving behind you), then the tolerance is 7km/h, for speed below 100 km/h; 8 km/h for 101-150 km/h and 9 km/h for 150 km/h+.

You're lucky, here in Victoria we get between 2-3kph or 3%, depending on the device used.......

We have a new police car on trial here (but it will be expanded into the fleet) that has practically everything onboard, including number plate recognition technology so as it's being driven along it "reads" all the number plates (both directions) of other cars & scans the computer for anything of interest, eg unlicensed vehicle, stolen vehicle, owner under suspension, outstanding warrants on owner, etc.
It also has fireable "barbs" so if a stolen car is detected and it fails to stop, it heats up the barb & fires it towards the stolen car, attaching itself on the back of the car. The attachment which is now attached to the stolen car incorporates a GPS unit so the car doesn't have to be pursued; it can be monitored via on-board computer and "tracked" to its current location, either by car or police helicopter.
The patrol car also has cameras on each corner to monitor traffic all around it & constantly check for any violations as detected by onboard computer systems.
Pretty snazzy.

No Dazz, I'm actually not. They really do have them.
We've had issues over here for a long time with pursuits and several people (mainly offenders but not always) killed during them.
The barbs apparently have a wax coating & they are heated prior to firing so that they stick to the offending vehicle and they actually have a GPS tracking unit in them.
High-tech, & all of the equipment adds about $50,000 to the cost of each vehicle.
All of the test equipment is fitted to a marked Holden Commodore SV6.
