OK.. Im going to lay claim to the the first to receive one of the first (if not the first) Up graded spec CRDI SLX i30's in Australia..

Today I picked up my brand new (with 32KM on the clock) i30 Silver SLX CRDi Auto..

My car came factory with Cruise control and ESP / TCS as factory "standard" options.. It landed in Melb on the 14th of Sept. The dealer almost moved heaven and earth to get it to me by today (a country dealer 200KM from Melbourne - Shepparton). It was delivered to the delaer yesterday and was ready for my pick up today at 3pm..

I have to say that the guys at Shepparton Hyundai did the best job that I had ever experienced when buying and receiving a new car..! I ahve had Subaru's and Ford's and now the Hyundai.. Even though I ordered the car in April and opted to wait for the factory Cruise control.. The wait ended up being a few days short of 5 months. I would definately deal with Lucy and the team agian..! They kept me informed and when I had a question they contacted head office and provided me with the info that day or the next day.. Plus for the first time ever a full tank of fuel upon delivery..
Plus, given the delay in delivery Hyundai will be sending me vouchers so that the first 2 services (excluding the already free 1000km one) are totaly free.. So thats another $50 in the pocket I have saved on top of the $1000+ for the rebate on the Protectz Pack and after market crusie control I ordered...

Now.. down to the good bit.. The CAR!.. What can I say.. Im impressed.. I have always been a big car guy.. (Falcon's and Territory). I enjoy driving this car.. It goes well and love all the bells and whistles..! (I still have the Territory for when I need space)

The options I chose were the rear bumper protector (for the missus getting the pram in and out), the mud spats and the carpet mats just to finish it off.. I also arranged for them to put a "normal" mirror in the drivers side mirror rather than the convex one. (the missus did not like it and felt it made her queezey..)

One thing I noticed on the engine cover, it says that the car is not fitted with the partical filter and X oil needs to be used.. Given the discussion about the filter, I can only assume that this is a new sticker and response to all the questions Hyundai have received..

Well done Hyundai, Well done Shepparton Hyundai.

I drove the car home from Shepparton (back to Melbourne) around 190KM and it averaged 6.8L/100km. Very good for a brand new motor..

Pics to follow tomorrow.. 8-)

Dazz,
Thanks..
Yes, things come to those who wait..

I am so glad I waited for the Factory cruise control. I know it is a small thing but the small things are those that make all the difference..

congrats on finaly getting your car.
only thing i can see they could improve is front springs and damping combination, it's not as good as i'm used too but for the $ it's fine.
