Hi, this is also my "first post".
I am now retired, my body is not what it used to be (TPI). In a former life I was a Marine Engineer steam & diesel, and then
retrained as an Aircraft Mechanical Engineer (Sumpy) . In all I spent just over 20 years between the R.A.N. & R.A.A.F.
I have also played around restoring and maintaining old steam and diesel locomotives whilst getting the Mary Valley Heritage Railway up and running.

Heart replacement? Hell no, nothing so dramatic, just knee joints. Now on my 2nd replacement in 13 months (L knee) Still rattles and bangs with a mind of its own.

@Radio Rentals? I thought they went the journey years ago. I worked for RR just after I was married in 66. Almost unique in those days where they paid their engineers to use their own cars; I was the original 'boy racer' in my souped up Vauxhall VX490. I spent more time under the bonnet than in the car.

I used to work with a guy who'd had a heart transplant. I didnt know about his heart at the time but he used to go very red in the face when annoyed, and I used to enjoy winding him up. Oooops.

just took a look at that poll, i must say that I'm a little surprised. i didn't think that it would be the choice for the IT industry (person), saying that i guess we all love gadgets and this car is full of them

got in to a argument the other day about this car NOT being a girls car. topic on another thread i believe

Actually I don't know. I could speculate that if they are it's because their testosterone levels are higher than they should be, or they're having cancer treatments, or they shave it all off!

I just seem to pull my hair out - literally, I'll be running my hands through my hair and pulling clumps out - if I'm highly stressed.

Your sure to go bald working in that sector hayseed. I have two friends who work at Durham Uni on designing the software for distance learning and are both bald, and a good few years younger than me. I had a very good school friend who moved to Cambridge when his father got a job down there, he also worked on the very first distance learning programmes at Cambridge Uni and he was bald by his early 30's.

I went bald during chemo treatment about four years ago. God I was ugly,

thankfully it came back, thicker than ever.
