Hi Folks, my name is Paul and I've just bought a pre-reg old shape i30. Very very pleased with car so far (touch wood) - Dealer less so, so won't be returning there through choice. Car is in "Ice" spec with mudguards etc. and for a pinch under 10k am in Hy heaven. :happydance:

Just need to work out what to do with the 4x half inch screws that came in a little sealed poly bag ... thought I was the only one that had bits left over when building things  :whistler:

Great site btw - been reading up on service costs / options as I have a local Independent who have been great with all my previous cars and they will use genuine parts.

Any New owner advice / hints / tips greatly appreciated!

Paul

Welcome a long good sir, old shape sounds a bit harsh.. original? or pre facelift sounds cuter :P

In regards to your 4 screws, are they rather chubby looking with a big head? I reckon these are the number plate screws that come with the car when new. Hardly ever get used.

Ice spec? never heard of this before, is this what the dealer told you lol

What trim level (or features) does your car come with, even better, fire up some pictures :)

Glad you have found the site useful so far. and hope it helps you even more.

Welcome from the members Down Under. Gee, I'd have been happy to get one screw with my car when I brought it.

I seem to recall I had 4 screws in a bag left over after fitting the mudflaps.  Don't really remember.

Thank you all for making me and my Original (and best) shaped car so very welcome

My spare screws seem to have stolen most of the limelight, so here they are - attached.

Looks like I can only attach 1x pic at a time, so I'll post a car pic or two later.

Paul

Thanks again - you are a friendly lot  :brilliant:

The car says it's colour is "Ice Blue" and who am I to argue?

The spec is thus -

16" Alloy Wheels
Metallic Paint
Front and rear mud flaps
Front and rear carpet mats
Boot protection mat
Bumper protection panel
Silly "Ice" badge on bum (it's, not me)  :P

Ooooo all my cars talk to me, this one was shouting "Thirsty!" before we even got off the forecourt. However my last one used to cry "New Shoes, New Shoes" every few months, so still happy  :happydance:
