Saw my first new style i30 tonight on way home from work.

The car was empty but it's DRLs were lit and I have to say I haven't seen any that bright before. Shame I didn't swivel the camera around to capture the front.





Sorry for the poor quality - one reason I've ordered a much higher resolution dashcam.

It's called a "filter" and it looks like an arrow when its lit; it means as long as its lit we can turn right without danger as the opposing traffic will be held on their own red light.

I wonder if the owner actually lives there. If so I'd be inclined to put my brand new car on the driveway rather on the street where its likely to get stone chips or worse from passing motorists (I'm sure not you though Shambles).

yes I know.
But it seems to be off in the video, so one is not to turn right as long as light is off, isn't it? At least the rule works in Russia.

It had just turned off, which gave me a few seconds to complete the turn before the oncoming cars started moving.
