I loved this guy when I was a teenager.
I will always remember his #1 hit, "Royal Telephone" - probably not to many others on here will.
He died a couple of days ago and this is the first chance I've had to go looking on the web.

He never showed any desire to go overseas.

Funny, isn't it? In 1964 a song would "go global."
In 2012 it would "go viral."
