They must be too busy watching re-runs of the Simpsons or something.

Are they still shoplifting too?

:P

Playing with their new phone perhaps.

I think it's a lost cause to be honest. It's just a phone at the end of the day.
Just annoying that if they'd got on to it earlier we might have got a result.

I'd like to say the story had a happy ending and that the shopping centre security staff went out of their way to view the cctv footage for me, identified the offender, observed his car registration number, handed the info over to the police who went around and got my phone back and charged the pond dwellers.

But I can't. After three phone calls over the past three days to ask them to view the footage I gave up.  :fum:
They gave me three firm promises to call me back.
I'm still waiting............. :foottap:

Have you reported it to the Police?
If so can't they request the CCTV to view.

OR and this always get the ball rolling here ........
Write to your local paper with the story and see if that causes them to check out the CCTV for you.

It also has a human interest as if shoppers feel that security reviews/follow up is poor they may not wish to visit.

I did report it to the police and I was asked for the IEMI number of the phone for the report.
I said I had it at home (on the box) so would ring it through.
So when I got home I rang it through and got a female PC who wasn't that interested.
I asked to be put through to the front counter but she said she'd take the number and pass it on.
So I gave her the number and she said, "Thanks very much," and was about to hang up.
I said, "Would you like my name?"
Ah yes, your name.........
I reckon it went straight into the bin.
Hard to get good help these days.
Pretty disappointed with the S/C security though, no real interest at all.
Honestly, not worth the effort really.

Oh! and gone are the day when most of the younger generation actually want to work for the money they get paid, if you reported it ASAP, how freaking hard would it  have been to check the CCTV tapes straight away, most shopping centre security guards I see no a days are  in their early two Mid twenties and from what I have observed all they seem to be interested in is chatting up the young ladies.

The only thing I'd challenge you on Rick is the "MOST" part. My experience is that the numbers of deadheads are a lot less than "MOST". It's a relatively small percentage of the total. More than offset by the positive attitude of the majority of young people.

It is from all generations. There are families down here in Tassie that are 3rd generation dole recipients. The younger generation are only doing what their parents (and grandparents) are doing. They get their attitudes from the generations before them, not after.

They were right where they were supposed to be yesterday.
At my local beach (Moffat Beach) there is a great foreshore park backed by a road past the coffee shops at one end and up the hill to the headland.
Accross the road from the park is a block of up market low rise units. A guy backed out of there yesterday and proceded to light up the tyres as he took off towards the coffee shops (with a park full of young families only meters away on his right).
Two of Queensland's finest were out of their car getting coffee and simply turned around, walked out to the edge of the footpath and pointed him into the curb.

   :goodjob2: :goodjob: :happydance:

Earned a hearty cheer and applause from the crowds in the park.

+ i just dropped the oil and spun a filter on the car, rotated the wheels, and gave it a bath

- need to order a set of engine drive belts, ones on there are beginning to crack

- front pads are getting down, might be able to stretch another 10-15 000 out of them

- found milky shite under the oil cap, coolant level was down and it used about 400ml of oil in 5 000 klms, me thinks maybe a head gasket. off to see the dealer soon

- found a new scratch while washing the car (bloody car parks and shopping trollies)

+looks to only be in the clear coat, hopefully will buff out

I've regularly lost 6 kilos by doing the soup diet, Daz....

My trouble is I don't keep it off..... :'(

It's not as bad as it sounds, you can eat fruit and vegies as well......and even some meat on certain days....

If you want to keep it off you have to weigh yourself daily. That way you can do something about increases straight away. Works for me.
