True. But I think the point Shambles is making is that it's not only Catholics who celebrate Christmas on 25 Dec.
Pretty much all the other Christian denominations (Anglican, Presbyterian, Baptist etc also celebrate on 25 Dec.

Having said that, maybe you can clarify further. Did you mention Catholics because they are the ones you know in Russia. If that's the case, it all makes sense now.

The bad news is..you mob in the UK are getting some crappy weather, a load of rain.  I wish you well over there, stay safe lads.  I hope your i30's are handling the wet conditions OK. They are a little low to the bitumen.

The good news..a nice and sunny 25C here today in Batemans Bay, on the East coast of OZ, after playing golf, went down the beach, came home just cooked a nice BBQ, T bones, snags and a nice bottle of Merlot to wash it all down.  I was just sick of eating the friggen ham, turkey and pork since Chrissie day.  The Dog can have the rest.

So I trust everybody out there had a good Chrissie with family and friends.
