Wouldn't somewhere on the East Coast be closer and more central to the East Coast?

But,but you can go North, South, West and East from there ( Alice is a bit too far from anywhere)

What about the place that is so good, they named it twice?

(Or it's such a big hole it has an echo)

Bad news first.... My dad has been in hospital for a week and has had his gall bladder removed.  At 86 (on the 24th July) he has a few years under his belt, but still......   :(

Good news is he came home today. I am a bit surprised that they shoved him out the door so quickly, but hopefully that means he is on the mend and will be annoying my mum again very soon.   :D

I hope your Dad recovers quickly, Kitti.  They wouldn't kick him out if he couldn't take it (your poor Mum).

Tell him to take care kitti,

I will be having mine removed very soon. The doc says it's just an overnight stay, due to the small incision, BUT an organ has been removed and that is actually quite major, so the recovery period is AT LEAST 4 weeks and definitely, no straining of lifting. :fum:

I was actually thinking of Gumly Gumly, Dazz, or Grong Grong.   :whistler:

They are both near Wagga Wagga.

I agree, stay in your slice of heaven.  I've lived in Wagga, it is much nicer in Devonport.

The fact that he came home sooner than you thought he should have is a jolly good thing, even more so for the elderly Kitti.   The serious risk of hospital acquired infection is defo one to avoid and finally hospital have latched onto this notion.   So, home, the sooner the better and even more so for an octogenarian.

I hope he is recovering well   :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

Thanks guys.  I appreciate your good wishes.   :DoubleKiss:

I went and saw him today.  While he is still a little yellow, very tired and a bit vague, he got up and was sitting in his chair holding court with my mum, my two sisters and me in attendance.

He goes back Tuesday so they can have another look down his throat to see if it all worked well.   :fingers:

Dad said he has 'gunshots' as it was keyhole surgery and he has, I think, about 4 incisions. He always manages to make a smart remark.

Hope it all goes well for you Phil.   :fingers:

Boy and I was going to whinge cause I have to work tomorrow and rack up another 1000 k's.

KK the reason they let many many PPL out early these days from Hospital is one prcedures are far safer these days, PPL tend to tolerate the ops better also the longer they keep you in Hospital the greater the risk of infection, stupid isn't it,you are at greater risk of getting an infection in a hospital than being at home.

Hoping you Dad has a speedy recovery

Lucky we don't live in Europe or Mainland Australia (I hate to think what our annual mileage would be)

I do more mileage in Tassie than I ever did on the Mainland.

That's because time passes by more slowly down there.
