This is good for him and good for you Steve, good for him as the level of care will be better than any care at home.  Good for you in that you know he is receiving top class care...

Steve, I know what you're going through and how hard it is for all concerned. Mrs UM and I went through this only 7 months ago with her Dad.

All I can say is have faith in the staff caring for you dear old Dad and be there for him as often as you can.

Good luck to you, your family and most importantly, your Dad.

We have been going through something similar in the last month or so.  My dad has been in and out of hospital a couple of times.  He is getting better now, just very tired and a little bit over it all.  He has a number of visits back to both his GP and the hospital, bit hopefully he is on the road to recovery.

I hope your outcome is as good as ours Steve.

- seen my own doctor last night for my respitory test result,so now on a daily inhaler which is to help with my breathing and more tests to be had,what a pain in the arse.

Like all smokers,or should I say ex smokers,maybe I should have given up sooner.

Have successfully finished my masters degree. Am horrified at the state of the garden. Acquired a couple of new old cameras and lenses and will be getting back into the taking of photos again. This generally involves early starts, 4w driving, mountain climbing, treking and otherwise getting into inaccessible places at times.

Exhibit a, Mt Warning at sunrise, required walking the track starting at 2am at the foot of the mountain to be in place for the sunrise.



This required less effort but still needed a 3am start to be in place for the sunrise.



Can't wait.
