I reckon crispy bacon tastes like bacon flavoured slivers of wood....

It's gotta be soft....and no cutting the rind and fat off for this little black duck!  :D

Being the person that I am, (difficult), I like my bacon rind & fat on, on the verge of crispy, but not dry and my eggs on the verge of hardening, but still with some goo inside.

Consequently, I only eat that combo on very rare occasions, maybe twice p.a.

Ah, all that saturated fat heading for your coronary arteries.  :whistler:

But I bet it tasted great.  :happydance:

It went so well with the Moccona Intensity cup. Oh well, off to do some weights now and keep those arteries in shape to deal with that fat!

Thanks, Rusty. I've had no qualms about having bacon. There are better sources of protein but seldom as tasty. :happydance: :goodjob:

Of course there are plenty of other websites telling me how bad bacon is but I'm happy to believe the one I posted...  :D

Sitting in our patio under the pergola at the 10 seater table while Mrs Gonz cooks paella on our 3-ring burner modded for our natural gas line. A little too much Sauvignon Blanc (her choice, but it's cool and tasty) but I can still type. Hurry up with the paella, love, this wine getting nicer as I go. :snigger:

Interesting link Rusty..

I like this bit...

"For this reason, we need to cook meat well enough to kill the bacteria. So cook your bacon properly. It should be crunchy, but not burnt."  :goodjob2: :goodjob:

I actually dispute that statement..  :whistler:

As far as I know, bacon is cured and smoked...  :undecided:

So cooking it less than crunchy should be perfectly acceptable and you could probably even eat it "raw" if you were so inclined.  :D

Why the necessity to stand guard - he was hardly likely to pull himself together and do a bunk was he?.......... :whistler:

+ didn't play up until I got our 2 acres mowed.
+ was a bit better after I let it cool down. Let me drive it up the hill to our storage shed.
Taking it for repair/service next Wednesday :scared:
