Never been a fan of growing roses.... :undecided:

Back in the old days when I had a garden I used to trim them back to ground level with the lawn mower....Rotten things would still come back....

+ Spent the day at the Torrens Parade Ground celebrating Veteran's Health Week.
+ Brenton Ragless as MC and a whole bunch of Veteran support organisations putting on everything from sausage sizzle to rock'n'roll dancing.
+ Underwent the heart health check and came out well within the AWESOME category for blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol and heart rate.
+ Came back with armfuls of 'showbags'.
+ Won a couple of mushroom recipe books in the free raffle.

- Nothing yet. :happydance:

- I had to swap wheels earlier than I had planed for we had the first snow yesterday. Even though it melted, what was water and puddles yesterday had turned gradually into ice by midnight.
+ I seem to be heading to Cologne for two weeks upon my return from Hanoi
- it's my 5-th day on duty and I will be working for the next week, so 12 days in total

I read it as " came back with armfuls of snowballs" at first glance
:)

- I had to change out the front right (driver's) tyre at the service station this morning. A slow leak had meant I got to refuel but not before noticing a low clearance going into the station.
+ I baptised the tidy toolkit and spare wheel
- After 53000Kms, I need a new set of tyres.

Suggestions? I had Bob Jane email back with an offer of Bridgestone Ecopias at $144 fitted and balanced. Are they any good?

Said it all before I know but I'm more than happy with my Continental CCC5's..... :goodjob:

Grip, wet or dry is pretty damn good and they are quieter than the standard Hankooks....Oh, and they seem to offer a more comfortable ride.

Thanks, Rusty. I'd be happy with another set of the original Kumho Solus KH15 to match the spare, given I got over 50Mm out of them.

However, they don't make them any more and I was offered the KR26 for a good deal (I left it on my desk at work but I think around $140) or the KH17 for a bit more.

I'm targeting the 205/55R16 to match the previous. Any tips on varying this v sticking with it?

On my FD I had two sets of Kumhos.
On my GD I have that other Korean brand whose name escapes me and I can't be bothered going out to check (not Hankooks).
But when I replace these I think I'll be following Alan's and Rusty's advice and going for the Continentals too.
Plus when I asked my tyre guy his opinion on what to put on, his first choice was Continentals as well.

Well, I'll see how the tyre guys explain the pros and cons. I have the CCC5, KR26 and Ecopia to compare. Thank you! :goodjob:
