Yes.

Whatever happens in the future, the mast is earthed.

If you hop on to Flightradar24.com the sector from 90 to 180 Deg is where I'm most effective. If you click on a plane it shows the responding receiver. I'm F-YPAD4

Nice one, Phil.  I've just seen your ADSB receiver tracking an Etihad B777 going from Melbourne to Abu Dhabi.

I tracked my son's flight back from the USA last year and was able to let him know, by text, that his plane was on its way to the stand and how long he would wait to board well before it was shown on the departure board.

  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

+ I have completed the ADS-B installation and now delivering data to Flightradar24.
my Radar alias is F-YPAD4, so far I can cover to Mt Gambier in the South, Horsham to the East and Mildura to the North West.  :happydance: :happydance:
How much was it worth?

+ two days off ahead
- it is my third night shift now (sitting in the office, waiting for an airplane to carry out Daily check)

Cost, $0.00

I am a host for their equipment which is valued at about AU$1k apparently.

FR24 want to increase world coverage, so you apply giving them your location and if interested, they contact you. They pay postage for supply and return of the equipment, no contracts, their only requirement is that it's on 24/7/365 and that you don't feed to any other sources. Generally, they are looking for people with uninterrupted views, as ADS-B is line of sight, of course.

Cost me a few bucks for a housing & some wires, I installed it all myself.

One more night at work tonight! And then 6 possible 7 days off in a row! Unheard of in the medic world. And the best part is, I don't have to take annual leave days to get it! :happydance:

+ Did 50km on the mountain bike for the first time riding since 2010
- Got a puncture at the 49km mark
- Didn't pack a spare tube or repair kit
+ Got it repaired by a very generous rider on the side of the track (Torrens trail sea to hill)
- Lower thighs were burning at the end of the ride
+ Aerobics never a problem: free weights program maintains fitness
+ Will pack repair kit next time :victory:

I enjoyed it that day too!!

+ Completed my line check on the S92 yesterday.
+ Pay rise for being qualified.
+ Went out for a couple of beers at the local bar in Broome.
+ This guy was there at his girlfriend's father's 60th birthday party (Gatsby themed).

Sorry, guys, screwed up the maths. The puncture occurred in the last km to the far end of the ride, at the 24km mark. I'd already pushed it about 5km by the time help showed up. :victory:

- Induction cooktop element shorted last Thursday, only 3 years old :fum:
- Takes this long to find out, we're not insured for fusion, only surge or lightning.  :fum: :fum:
- $800 to replace 1 element. Italian made.
- $799 to buy another complete cooktop. Italian made
- All induction savings wiped out x 5 times.
- Time to change insurers.
:argh: Not happy.  :Pout: :Pout: :Pout: :Pout: :Pout:
