Doggie1's paid his insurance apparently. :whistler:

I'm in the 70's (weight, that is), now so if I lose 40, that'll be me out of the game. :(

Well, this is definitely a protein household. Mrs G had salmon and I had nice red wine and garlic marinated kangaroo steaks with - just for Jamie - a nice glass of Proximo Rioja. :victory:

Sorry, but that looks awful! The only thing worse than 2kgs of that would be 4kgs...  :snigger:

I would be delighted with all  except the chilli.  I love all the other flavours - although I have not tried roo yet.

Yum! Looks a lot like biltong that we get here, which is mainly beef strips marinated in coriander and vinegar and various other spices, then dried out. I believe jerky uses salt in place of the vinegar that we use but it is basically the same. I wonder if one can get jerky here? I know biltong is widely available at the South African shops overseas, as it makes up our staple diet :happydance:

My next batch consisted of a marinade of soy, worcestorshire and - wait for it - rogan josh!

Tonight's batch is in the fridge swimming in soy, worcestorshire, vinegar, red wine, pepper and chilli. :happydance:

Came across this today around a hidden corner, had to turn around to go back and check no one was in it,hopefully there was only a driver in it,the Brookton Hwy collects yet another victim, this happened on the stretch where I come across this, a lot of accidents, luckily this one for me was not where I had to help or sit with an badly injured or dying person waiting for the emergency services, when will people learn to slow down,Hoping the occupant or occupants are OK

Yes same as when someone cooks with alcohol,I know the alcohol content is gone but the taste is still there,I won't even use cough medicines because the solvent in most is alcohol,if I go out to tea, dinner what ever, whether it is at friends,a restaurant, what ever,I always ask if anything I am going to eat has been prepared with alcohol,if so won't touch it.

Rick, over here, the police who attend these sorts of accidents and, for whatever reason, leave the car there, wrap a strip of police tape around it to let people know it's been attended to.

Mrs G: Can you get me the garlic salt from the pantry?
G: Sure.

Searching the pantry ...
G: I don't see any garlic salt. Are you sure it's garlic salt?
Mrs G: I swear, you'd better get those glasses soon. It's right in front of you.
G: (biting lip in self-control) All I see is garlic powder.
Mrs G: It's garlic salt! Just hurry up and bring it here!
G: Here you are, (fatal error begins here) I should have known you'd call it the wrong thing.
Mrs G: That is garlic salt, you idiot.
... long, unfruitful argument ensues...
