Father cleared off (I was 14) 8 years later he asked me to look after his Father's WW1 medals.

Royal British Legion showed an exhibition about WW!, which included Royal Marine Grandfather's DSM, other medals, photographs & write ups etc  :D

Elder Brother saw it, rang me up, said he'd been left the medals in Father's Will.
I checked The Will (I had no idea) he came and collected them yesterday  :(
As usual, Wife gets cross with me (too soft with Brother seems to be her regular complaint)

That's sad Mike, I hope elder brother is happy now.  :(

+ I had a fairly good day today

- one of my work mates got run down by a Fork lift,he didn't look to well when I left, vbeen carted of to hospital

They are a pretty bad hazard if drivers aren't careful!   :sweating:  (I have a forklift licence)

As and the Bird that was driving the Fork lift has been warned so many times, she didn't turn up to work today,Mark is still in hospital,he has a broken Tib and Fib,very very lucky she wasn't going any faster,Like SD had my fork, swing lift, crane, telehandler tickets for years,I was always taught to drive in reverse when ou couldn't see where you were going

No problems with getting on with mine either  :D
Just had the morning together discussing "things" :)
He thinks I have just bought a Chinese junk load of bricks, Triad style  :whistler:
It's the female members of the family, who just seem to get on, same the world over, I guess :scared:
We listen, then ignore  :whistler:

@ Misha

Nice collection, but wouldn't security be an issue in Russia??  :sweating:

It is not the big issue here  :P

Where's all this stuff going Misha, you'll have more items in your room than I have in my garage soon.

I think of buying a house  :), but this will take me much time and money, so all I do now is set money aside.

I do like the process of rambling round a forest in search of mushrooms mostly  :P

+ retrieved the forgotten things from my childhood

All of them, except for two shells possibly, come from the Second World war time (all Germans). I excavated them in my village - the house is said to have been built over the German trench, moreover there is a German soldiers graveyard nearby.
The biggest shell was used in antitank rifle (found a handful of this in one place; this was the best preserved); three cartridges - just an immitation with no powder inside (I found one live cartridge though, but disposed of it in a fire long time ago).
The spoon is still an unidentified.

I have been thinking of purchasing a radio-metal locator for a long time, for to use it in my village - there are many interesting places there.

You rebel you

Interesting place you live in!

- my medical aid refuses to cover my ear exam even after I was referred by my GP so I am left to foot the bill
- my KLR650 license is up for renewal, and I am sad to admit I haven't ridden it even 200km this year :blubber:
+ I won a hoodie on another forum today, which is actually nice since my gf stole my nice one
+ my i30 is still purring like a dream
+ it is almost spring!
