Very interesting. Can you set a timer to it so that by the time you wake up in the morning your morning brew is ready? I have always wanted one of those :sweating:

We call those "bean to cup" machines. Nice if you can afford one...

No, it is not possible, moreover I am not interested in such a feature, for I do not drink coffee in the morning. But one can set a time when a machine turns off automatically after brewing the last cup (there are 4 times to choose from - from 15 min till 2 hrs). Anyway such a feature you talk about may be available in the coffeemachines over 700-1000 Euro, though.

Do you guys get the Nespresso machines over there? My GF's stepdad has one, it is pretty awesome but the capsules are pricey

- I saw a very mangled body on the freeway on the way home - it looks like a Kawasaki Versys 650 hit a pedestrian that was crossing the road at the wrong spot. RIP to the pedestrian...
+ I won an Asus Phonepad 7 from the same forum I won the hoodie from two weeks ago :happydance:

I bought one to our office, yep, the capsuls are pricey enough ( 8-10 USD per 10 capsuls), but one of our German colleague found a place with very cheap ones in Germany  :).

Packs of 10 capsules are $7.80 here in Australia, there's a very nice limited release out at the moment too " Cubania " strength 13 on the scale which is great to get me going early in the morning :)

Sheesh, I thought you only got up to strength 10 with those little caps?

Around here they work out to about R6 or R7 per capsule, around 60 - 70c in your currency. So I think more or less the same. Cheaper than a restaurant coffee but it's hard to beat the allure of instant coffee (Nescafe Gold in my case)

 :brilliant:

You sure do travel a lot! :) enjoy, you fly out just after my birthday
+ I am an owner of my first coffeemachine  :happydance:, no more dances with settings - switch it on, push a button and a cup of coffee is ready, - no need to mess with wastes after the process.

Wow, sounds flash! Could be a potential Xmas present to myself.. We had a very basic manual Breville expresso machine (not a pod one) and we donated it to an auction raising money for a cancer sufferer.

Trish doesn't like brewed coffee so might have a fight on my hands though...

The pod/capsule machines are getting cheaper. Now some motels/ hotels have them in the rooms instead of a dripolator or instant sachets.
I bought an Aldi Exspressi machine 2 years ago. $A79. Capsules are $A6.99 for 16 Up to 12 strength and various "blends" as well as a number of single origin options (same price) plus hot chocolate, decaf and other stuff I don't pay much attention to. Just coffee for us. So capsules are about 47c each. I have a milk frother which cost me nothing - got it with FlyBuys points but only use it on special occasions. I normally just heat the milk to the boil in the microwave.
Nakes a great flat white/ Latte.

I am not sure of the precise amount but I think the Nespresso kit here is around R3000, or $300 AUS

My son has the entry level Nespresso machine and it cost him about $A120 IIRC, That was with a $A50 cashback offer.

Probably something like what mine is " Nespresso U "  there's quite a few different models now ranging up to $450 for the Lattissima versions.

You can also get pods for some other brands from Woolworths/Coles that work in the Nespresso machines but I fine they never flow correctly and don't taste as good.

Neptune is correct, they slightly misjudged my velocity and bounced off the car :(

What AquaBlue said sounds like a better idea though, less messy :D
