How long does it take a person to get used to glasses anyways?

I only need to wear them while reading and for computer work and maybe in the evenings, but this is my first rodeo and I do not know what to expect :undecided:

Anyways, the obligatory selfie

Thanks Tim. I wasn't sure what I wanted but the thick framed glasses looked very shite on my face. In hindsight I should have gone for a taller frame as the field of view is a tad narrow, but it is something I will probably get used to in time. It was either this gold/navy frame or a similar one with a KTM orange/black frame

While orange is my favorite colour I probably would have gone the same way as you. I like to look a little more professional.
Feild of view I guess you'll get used to but a lesson learned for next time.

Can take a little while, sought of depends on how much you wear them, if full-time wearing probably one, or two, days full wearing - well, at least, on the optic side of things.  Could take a few days more in regards not being too physically aware of them.  Esp. if your first pair - then you might, or might not, end up needing things tweaked slightly for physical fit... later pairs you will probably ID small (if any) fitting issues at the time of selection (or collection).

In regards narrow field of view - you will probably get used to it.   Likely you will end up sub-consciously looking through the lenses, moving your head to do so, and only really be aware if looking for it - or possibly if you are concentrating on something abstract, meditating, etc..

Glasses look good BTW.

Yeah, it was mostly the getting used to the frame part I was worried about. I am wearing them at nighttime and will most likely during the week for work as well, but I was wondering when they will become 'invisible' to my eyes. I feel they are getting better and I am adapting, but I was hoping it would happen a bit faster. Or maybe I am just impatient :whistler:

Thanks though :goodjob2: :goodjob2:

- Was planning on washing Hippo, but the rain seems to be doing it for me...I think the last two months have brought with more rain than we had this whole year so far. To say this town is wet is an understatement... :(

+Went for a detour home on friday after work, throught the forest to play in some mud and ruts.
-Went over a small mound and needed to give it a bit to get out of the mud collected on the other side. Bang, screech and vibrations followed.

Was a bit dark  when I got home and I missed the real cause, put it down to broken engine mount rubber causing exhaust to touch front driveshaft under higher torque situations.

Looked again today and Anyhoo...............

Two engine mount bolts had broken off in engine block and engine was "resting" on the distributor. The third bolt wasnt even fitted going by the lack of markings on bracket.

Drilled and easyout the broken pieces, got one but the other was rusted good so its all back together with two high tensile bolts. Will fix the third one up next time engine is out which is hopefully never.

Yep, the exhaust was on the trans crossmember too so that took some weight.

Thid is all I could think of when I found it.........

- Shaz thinks she's fu**ed up the Rav4 - plumes of grey smoke followed by a few clunks, then all stop.

- After driving to meet her and getting nothing but clanks from the engine, I agreed

- So did the recovery guy :(
