are they hydraulic brakes or just disc brakes.....????
They would be hydraulic disc's on the Avanti's, they run the same components as my Giant.

When I was young where I used to live we had a town bike that I fell in love with, so totally understandable from my point of view.

TEKTRO AURIGA

Ahh same as on mine.  I think you have there the same, or very similar, Avanti model as me - but obviously much newer as mine is from 2006/2007.

I asked about the brakes off the top of my head - checking they are also TEKTRO AURIGA (well technically TEKTRO AURIGA COMP - but I suspect COMP is marketing buzz branding). Shimano ALIVIO gears. RST GILA+PLUS T7 front shocks.   The tyres I have on it are more suitable for roads, etc. - Maxxis Overdrive

Just recommissioning after years of not using it - had to bleed the brakes... there is a kit for it - but food grade flexible tubing and a syringe worked wonders.   Also found that who ever set the brakes up, they had used all the TEKTRO supplied mineral oil (coloured red) in the back brake, used std. stuff in the front.

- My i30 (which has no name) started rev'ing up during certain gear changes, like if the clutch was slipping but it is an auto.
- Also clunck/thump on initial changes when cold-start
+ Was booked in for a check yesterday and they found the problem.
- Vavle-body
+++ Being put in as warranty job (needs approval though)
- Have to wait for that and parts delivery
+/- Just needs to work until then

No name??? You would not do well in Indonesia where a lot of the population still indulges in animism despite its official 6 religions not including this.

+ One less thing about which to worry when owning a manual.
- Elena sold her cute little 5-sp SEAT Cordoba before our move to Indonesia
- She's now driving an Olympic Edition Commodore auto, our son's other car (she hates it!)
+ We're starting a 3-day ketosis kick-start regime today
+ I can't see the difference between that and what I have every day
- Haven't done any weight training now for 3 days
+ Having posted it, I have the motivation to report having resumed weight training later today

Havent looked closely at gearset but they are Shimano. Front susp. Is Rockshocks and the tyres are Kenda Honey Badgers. Wont see it again until Saturday.

Surprisingly for a 20yo relatively rare car, yes. The red book price range was $900-$1600 and with her very sad paint finish and little time to spend looking for a buyer, a car buying firm took it off her hands for a straight $1000.
For those not in the know, (might work as a link to the Facebook post?) here's our last recorded photo of the Cordoba. :blubber:

You got your monies worth out of it.  :goodjob:

@ Tim and Gareth...

Been so long since I had a bike I only ever worried about the gears being Shimano! Didn't realize there was so much else to take into account!  :crazy2:

Dazz its been a learning curve for me. I let the shop owner steer me to this bike and I love it. If I get into it, i wanna do downhill stuff, there will be alot of research before my next one.
