Does that mean you now get that pay rise?  :drinks:
What? Another pay rise?  :faint:
You must be doing well with those petrodollars! "ns"

A small pay rise now, a much larger one when the TRI gets approved.   :happydance:

I might be looking for another job if the oil price stays low.   :blubber:

+ Youngest daughter went into hospital to have a baby.
+ They tried to induce her.
+ They tried again.
- The baby said not time yet.
- They sent her home babyless.
+ She goes back to hospital tomorrow.

I'm guessing the baby has heard about the VW pollution and ISIS (or whatever they are called) :whistler:

Just a stubborn little bugger like his/her mum.
Fingers crossed for an "out come" next time.  "ns"

Sorry to hear that Phil.. Must be something with that best man thing!

My best man when I married Ashley's Mum was a Scotsman called Angus. His was a lovely guy I worked with in the ANZ bank nearly 40 years ago, he was about 5 years older than me. Had lots of health issues and died about 10 years ago from Cancer and Parkinsons at 53 Y/O and then my Friend John who was going to be my best Man when I married Trish 12 years ago was too sick to do the job.. he struggled on over 8 years and then died about 3 or 4 years ago in his mid fifties.. Very sad (still miss them both!)  :blubber:

+ I received my first training approval from CASA yesterday.  So I can now perform the role of a Line Training Captain (LTC).
- Had to send in more paperwork for the next level of Type Rating Instructor (TRI).
- Not sure when that will be approved.
+ Four weeks of leave left.
+ Weather has been fantastic here.

Cool on the approval.

Not really a +/- post - just couldn't really think where else to put it (without a new topic)

+ Had a laugh at a drive through Wednesday night about the car in front.

Not sure what make it was because they had debadged it - thinking Nissan or Mazda, nor was it a recent one either.   In any case it was not high-end european.   The engine was set to very low idle (so lots of unburnt fuel in exhaust) so sounded 'growly' - what you expect from a drag or US car, not a euro.   The back-end was very nicely polished up (very high gloss) bright white.  And there on the boot was a 'Classic Euro' QLD number plate - actually didn't look too bad at all (ignoring the car wasn't euro, and the number plate didn't look quite right/proportioned due to it).   I sought of wonder if they did some bodywork to give it a more euro look.

Anyway, as I said, looking very nice, looking the high-end part... until the fuel cap door... where the door has an outwards finger protrusion (raised metal edge) so you can use your finger to open it.

It pulled into the forecourt of the adjoining service station - I went past it on my way out to road - was two door, large rims and lowered it appeared (could have just been the rims).  Looked well looked after, and obviously worked on (as it had obvious body-kit on the sides - but really well done).   What got me, apart from going to the expense of the 'Classic Euro' plates, was not modifying the fuel cap door (the one part that now screams not-high end) after doing all the other work and presumable expense on kits, rims, etc.

- I've been out of the loop for a while due to me moving house, but + I can at least say I am nearly settled in and getting used to the new place.
- The neighbors have these annoying dogs that start howling at random times during the early hours of the morning. I have yet to pinpoint who exactly it is but if this goes on much longer I will lose what little sanity I have left.
+ Hippo still going strong but I keep on hearing a clunk sound when maneuvering slowly over uneven terrain. I suspect it is the one ball joint, but I will try and inspect it tonight and see what's going on
- I have the Monday Morning blues today...

+ Something like 1500km over the long weekend in the Grand Cherokee. Went to Dubbo to look at transportable houses. To Tamworth saturday, Dubbo return Sunday and back home today.
+ All things considered the kids were brilliant.
- Guy who we made appointment with says his planner didnt go off with daylight savings time and was an hour late (later said it was an iphone which adjusts automatically so not sure about that), couldn't contact and was nearly all for nothing. Luckily Dads financial broker managed to get hold of him somehow and all went ok from then.

If that's called Bowen's Disease, welcome to the club. My 2nd was removed about 3 months ago.  :fum:

Bowen's is a Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
The next level up to a BCC.
I've lost count of the BCC's I've had removed. And a few SCC's too.

I'm a lifelong surfer.  :scared:

I had my first one removed from below my right eye in 2000; second removed from my left ear (included a skin graft) in 2008, that was from a failed "freeze off" earlier in the year; third from the back of the neck in 2011; fourth one today.

Twenty two years in the military with pasty white skin designed for Northern Europe, living in Australia.  I'm bound to have more to get rid of.

I'm due for a skin check myself. Lots of sunbaking and outside work in my younger days.  :sweating:

I know more people that have had some removed than those that haven't (it's getting bad!)  :Pout:

Dangerous bastards   :exclaim::fum:

Mine are never sore and very difficult to detect. The last one looked like a scratch which I could have easily received as I was trimming shrubs a few days before. It remained and although looking very innocuous, was in fact a cancer.

BTW, Stay on top of them, Fatboy.  :goodjob2:
