+Thank bloody goodness the factory shipped my items 4 days early. The middle man in the USA sent me an email, which i got when i woke up this morning, asking me to contact him about two boxes he recieved. Turns out after i arranged everything here in Aus they never told old mate over there that there were two more boxes coming to go in their container. At 11am his time i told him what the go was and he replied saying he was shipping today before thanksgiving holiday.
++If they had of shipped out of factory as planned i dont know how much longer or more expensive it would be.
+++They wont be sitting around long before the big swim across the seas.

Yep heaps of extra clearance. Can run up to 37" tyres without touching (with appropriate suspension mods of course)

- Our local team lost their Ram Slam match last night vs the Titans, so Port Elizabeth is a bit sombre this morning
+ I got the cricket tickets for free so I cannot complain
+++ I bought a nice enamelled cast iron frying pan and made the best ever rump steaks last night. Bonus is they are easier to clean than a conventional cast iron pan.
+ I am typing this from the office wifi...

Who would buy a 2nd hand car they have not test driven, that's just asking for trouble and it looks like you got it.

Anyhow, the car would be under dealer warranty, so tell 'em to fix it.

Probably best to post further descriptions of your i30 and issues under

NON MODEL SPECIFIC or a separate topic to this one in

GENERAL DISCUSSION - covering things such as did you just buy it? or did you buy it new in 2013 and the issues are recent or always present? purchased from a Hyundai dealer or other? what kind of i30 you have petrol/diesel auto/manual hatch/wagon?

As regards to AM radio reception - that seems to be a common complaint in AU... where the 2nd Gen i30 (2012 and later) are, non-SatNav equipped that is, all fitted with AU designed head-units (large colour touchscreen vs small mono non-touch elsewhere in world). Has been in a few topics elsewhere on this forum.
