Can we swop? The mercury hasn't dipped below 23*C in two weeks. The evenings are around 25*C and midday usually peaks around 35 - 38*C. Not to mention all the mosquitoes!

Clearly I am a winter person

What Humidity? Here right now 7.20am 23c & 58% humidity
but has been a cool summer saw 35c once or twice . family next door went over Perth for Christmas said was 40c over there, don't think i've seen -30c  but might have in the cool room. would be fun to experience it!
Wabbit was cool last night but we get warm nights here too, 24c 58% humidity is a good temp, not too hot not too cold.

Aah yeah - give me cold temps any day. I might struggle to adapt but I prefer not sweating to death

Our humidity varies being a coastal town between 60% and 90%, the last week being around 85% so it's pretty sticky out here.

I do recall going into a chicken slaughterhouse last year and the big red digital readout above the doors read -17C. We didn't get any protective clothes and I had my sleeves rolled up, but luckily I was only inside for a brief amount of time, maybe a minute at most :goodjob2:

+ We are pretty lucky here on the north west coast of Tassie. Only a day or two in the 30's and from October to April the day time temps are generally pleasant. During the winter we see a few minuses, but the frost starts to clear by 8am.  :goodjob:

++ Humidity is seldom an issue.

Enough talk about this lovely weather! You all are making me grumpy :(

- I accidentally deleted all the photos on my Lumia's SD card a while ago whilst doing some spring-cleaning due to a misclick
+ I found a nice recovery program on my Hiren BootCD which seems to do the trick pretty well
- It is a 32GB SD card so the scan might take a little while
+ Thank goodness they are (mostly) recoverable! This will teach me to make more frequent backups :victory:

Yes, some of those free recovery programs work well. Had to do the same for my Step Daughter a while back.

I was really impressed. It took about 30 minutes in total to recover 27-odd GB of data. Not much of it was recent as my SD card was recycled from my HP AC100 camera, so lots of old videos popped up as well. And plenty of thumbnails in amongst the correct photos which I will sift through in due course.

Freeware for the win :goodjob2:

If you got to the files before overwriting the space with new stuff then it's easy. If it's a DOS/Windows system they never really get deleted, just the first letter is replaced with a character which is unreadable by the file system, like '?'. Recovery programs look for this and make a good guess at the original filenames or ask you tho choose a new first letter.

(...or at least it used to be that way when I used DOS/Windows)

Tthat is pretty cool, didn't know that :goodjob2:

I guess since my SD card was in a Windows phone, it behaves much like Windows ITO file deletion where the file is merely marked for deletion until the space is needed, but not overwritten. Luckily I pulled it out the moment I realised the error of my ways.

My Lumia has made small, medium and large-ish thumbnails of all the photos which were stored on the phone so it will take some time to sift through them and delete the correct versions but I am sure there are programs out there that can automate the process. I'll do some digging tonight and see what I can find

I was thinking that, but there are a few smaller Whatsapp images in between the thumbnails - nothing in IT is ever easy if that's one thing I've learnt being in he industry

We got +10cm of powder during the day(and still falling), gotta heat up the sauna and have a good roll in the snow. I also got to take the car for a short stint down to town(55km) and back on snowy roads too for the first time, very stable car even with 5cm on the roadway.

Backside is that there will be a lot of snow to move off my drive come Monday!
