- I feel like I miss a lot of news on here due to me not understanding some of the Aus/NZ slang...you okes will need to explain to me when I ask
+ I bought myself a Sheaffer VFM 9405-1 rollerball pen this weekend as my cheap and nasty Staedtler ran out of ink. Quite impressed and it writes very smoothly, but I am skeptical as to how long the ink will last (or whether I will lose it before I am able to finish it...)
- Monday blues have hit me hard today. Not a very good start to the week work-wise but I am grateful to still have a job in our current economic climate.
- Hippo needs a wash again as we have been having really strange weather lately. We had some serious gale-force winds this weekend and coupled with a drizzle or two, Hippo is looking a bit sad
+ I finally got around to fixing the slow puncture I got a while ago. Seems to be holding up well, touch wood :goodjob2:

When next I see one I'll mention you and expect an explanation asap!

Who is this Clive Palmer bloke I read about? I also had to Google PMSL admittedly...not phrases we hear here quite often

Clive Palmer is a very wealthy bloke with a very healthy body ( :snigger:) who entered federal politics at the last election and, at the risk of being inflammatory, I find to be an absolute loose canon.

Fairly elected by his constituents, doesn't say much for the voting public.  :fum: :disapp:

I know the feeling all too well. The IQ of said elected candidate is usually similar to the average voter IQ, divided by two for good measure :p

I have a box in the study that has about 500+ pens with names on the pens ..... no two are alike

I just made a personal record distance on one tank of fuel, with the studded tires and wet weather the last two weeks, cant wait to see if I can break 1100km with the summers on. Got 49.53l in, makes 4.56l/100km.  :crazy1: Also, the last dot on the fuel gauge flashes when the carputer gets to dashes km remaining.

This is great news, well done.

There are two really important things in life too remember....  Love and your work.

So if you can combine the two and love your job then it will never feel like work.   I am really pleased for you.   :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

That's what they call giving you a run for your money.
"ns"

Indeed Gonz, the ship probably had to re load bog paper at every NZ Port.  That would have improved the NZ economy, they might even have got enough money out of it to purchase a fighter plane for RNZAF. (They have no fighter capability.) :blubber:

I've always found the surroundings of Tamworth to be fairly flat,  just low rolling hills.
Have I missed something?

Nah. It's about halfway to the coast from there. Fairly high IIRC, but not mountainous I think theres some high hills on one side.

I am glad this thread is titled "good or bad (or both news)", as I am not quite sure what my news is

Come Easter Saturday I will be getting married for the third time. I "officially" retired 8 weeks ago, but thanks to said multiple marriages I am still now working past my ripe old age of 55.

Whilst I didn't choose Easter Saturday for the wedding (future number 3 did), I thought to myself "excellent" I will be able to easily remember the anniversary date  :D My parents were married on Anzac Day and Dad always said it made it easy for him to remember the date.

Then, thanks to my past experience many, many decades ago, as an Anglican Sunday School teacher (very long story), I remember that in 325AD the darn Council of Nicaea decided that Easter would be held on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the vernal equinox. Yep, that stuffed me.  The date for Easter Saturday is different each year!  Oh well, looks like I have to put a reminder in my phone.

Excuse above rant. I have just had to have 6 beers to cope with my post in Members Mishap, where some Bass Tard run a shopping trolley into my 8 week old i30  :'(
