@liability, interesting story! But sorry to hear about your i30 - the first one is always the worst one but thankfully it is just a scratch. Those can be fixed up easily, better than doing some panelbeating or replacing parts etc.

- my sleeping patterns have been really messed up lately. I've been getting to bed at between 2 and 3AM and I feel it taking it's toll on me. Not even the coffee can save me now! I have bouts of sleep paralysis evern now and then and while it does get better, it is still freaky to feel absolutely helpless while your mind plays tricks on you and makes you see things you really don't want to. I haven't found the trigger yet, but from what I have read it can be multiple things so it might be difficult to pinpoint.

+ the weekend is finally here, along with the complementary bad weather that all weekends seem to have.

+- I bit the bullet and asked out a girl I met in last week out for Valentine's day, but unfortunately she already had plans. We did agree to do something during next week, so that's a +. I am usually pretty useless with the opposite sex (and shy as all hell!) so this is a small victory for me

Phil, let food be your medicine. Watch what you are eating and drinking and detox. Almost all elements that affect us are ingested. Avoid modifiers such as caffeine and let you own endorphin system recover. Avoid processed food. Go fresh and clean.

@Gonz, I am generally quite picky about what I eat. My diet is pretty well balanced, I try to keep fit and I go to gym regularly so not in bad shape per se...I think it is perhaps attributable to anxiety as, to be honest, my job does feel like it is murdering me some days. Management is shuffling stuff around so much and us engineers are struggling to keep up on the best of days. But I could probably do with a reduction in my caffeine consumption

We were told the company posted record profits at least, so in a dwindling economy that's not a bad thing given the circumstances. But emotionally it does take its toll.
