+ I am owner of a two-story apartment in a townhouse now, which is still under construction.
- time to set money aside for refurbishment (I will get the apartment with bare walls; moreover plumbing and electricity has to be done personally too)

Well, inside the apartment - yes.

+ My mum celebrated her 90th birthday last Saturday and we had a party on Sunday.  All going well, Dad will celebrate his 90th in July 2017 and then they will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary in 2018. All depends on the Gods smiling on us though.

+ Here is a photo of my beautiful mother and my equally beautiful daughter.

The KGB was a local crime gang here in W.A.
It stood for Koondoola Girrawheen Balga (all northern suburbs of a similar ilk).

- Older bloke from church had a stroke. He was the fittest guy you'd ever meet too. He's recovering pretty well, but it'll be a long road.

KGB: Kitchen, Gulag, and Bathroom.   Their work has a lifetime guarantee: you like it or you'll spend the rest of your life counting trees in Siberia.

Oh dear!  We had one of the older parishioners have a stroke during the service today, somewhere near the start of the Passion Reading...  she was immediately well attended by others.  So to minimise unwanted/unneeded attention the service was quickly resumed while waiting for ambulance and paramedics, and continued as they attended to her.   I suspect they actually preferred that to having dozens of people waiting around and watching them.  A bit surreal having a very liturgy-wise 'high church' service with paramedics in their reflective stripped overalls, bright yellow gurney and other equipment working in the middle of the nave.

It seems a day for stokes...my neighbor was medivac off Barrow Island early yesterday morning and then medical flight all the way to Perth and ambulance to Charles Gardiner Hospital...... all good so far...

Great they were both attended to quickly. Makes all the difference apparently.  :fingers:
