On Saturday I got dragged kicking and screaming by the missus to see Madonna at Murryfield Stadium. Not something I was relishing to begin with but to say the show was a disappointment would be a huge understatement. Not only did she not come on til about 9:20pm but them proceeded to play for only 90 mins with a set that was about 80% from her new album (which I've never heard). At £66 a ticket i felt hugely ripped off. Suffice to say I agree with the comments left on this article rather than those of the person who wrote it.

Madonna always gets bad press, why? Because shes a white 54 year old women! It's frowned upon for a women to be successful after 20 and so the press take the popular option and bash her. Still the tour is the highest earning tour of 2012 and is in the top ten list of the most successful tours of all time (Her previous 2008 tour 'sticky and sweet' being the highest earning tour for any solo artist and only being beat by U2 for top spot).

Now to answer the lateness... M is famous for being late on stage and i feel like i'm making a excuse for her but on the ticket it says the show starts at 8 - 9pm. The 'show' includes the support act before she gets on stage, the ticket doesn't actually say when Madonna is meant to go on so really shes not late.

Lack of hits? The tour is called the 'MDNA tour' for a reason, its in support for her 2012 album 'MDNA' it's not a greatest hits tour.

No their from random dates, but every show is the same. Pictures don't do the show justice tho, the way the stage moves, the lighting effects, the dancing... it's (i know this sounds corny) just amazing!

I never used to like Madonna, in fact i used to dread hearing songs on the radio. But my mum got her CD for Christmas (Confessions on a dance floor, anyone remember hung up?) and feel in love. Most people only know her oldies such as like a virgin, pappa dont preach, like a prayer... but if you actually brought some of her newer CD's and played them i'm sure you would also be a convert!

IIRC both Playboy and Penthouse published photos at about the same time.  She did have dark hair then, and the carpet matched the curtains.  I wonder if that is still the case, or has she moved onto bare floorboards?
