We still aren't quite on speaking terms, but I do think her name starts with a J.

But here's a little teaser of pics to come of my new girl................

And then just before I hit post I find the little warning saying no bigger than 128kb grrrrrrrr  :'( )

(Well making it less than 128kb is a bit of a bummer, but I can understand why, although I think just giving a single 500kb limit on posts would be better)

Anyway here we go with number one. It's all I have time for now, but I assure you there will be more!

Sweet. I like her :)

As for storing pics, I prefer photobucket. It's free and dead easy. You reading this Eyma

Great pic and backdrop.

I see you have wind deflectors on the windows.  Are they any good?

Also. What is the white mark on the door?

Where is the backdrop?

Nice whitbomb!
The blue looks stunning.

I think you should invest in some decent magnetic p's though

The ones I have were a little bit more expensive, but they're really good.
And prevent scratching like the plastic ones usually do

Thanks all

As for the P's where do you put a magnetic one on the front? All of the bumper is plastic annd the bonnet is way to curved to put it on there, if I did that it knowing my luck it wouldn't take long for me to have a run in  with a cop (whose probably had his wife leave him, pay cut, house being reposessed) Not something I wanna do, I only have em till April, and I've zip tied them onto the plate, so they shouldn't move and scratch anything (trust me I was really worried about this).

As for the location, it's near King Edwards Park just south of the Newcastle CBD.

BTW have I done something wrong with the image? I cant open it up from what is displayed on the thread?

There is SLX written on the side eye30, but there was also a bit of dirt on her, luckily at this distance most doesn't show up.

There will be more to come when I get the time.

Regards

Daniel

I've got the bonnet protector so I've put it on the front underneath like this:

Sits nicely under there and I havent had any problems so far.
I'm on mine till next November.

Yea I didn't get the bonnet protector, only the headlights. Oh well.

Anyway here are a few more pics. I'm still learning to use my new DSLR camera, and this was a bit rushed, wasn't sure what the weather was going to do. Plus I'm playing with new photo editing software. So they aren't that good but I hope you enjoy her.

Daniel

Well i do have to admit I did tweak the colour saturation just a little to bring the blue out even more.

All I have to say about this whole attachment thing is GAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!     Such a headache getting those photos on until I knew what I was doing. I thought each attachment could be up to 128 X 4 = 512kb max per post, however whilst an individual attachment can be upto 128kb the sum of all attachments cannot exceed 192kb! Is there any chance of this being increased or will this use up to much bandwidth etc etc? Cos this is really affecting the resolution and quality of my shots, 640px wide image isn't that great and the amount of jpeg compression I have to use to post just 2 or 3 images per post is wrecking them a bit.

Anyway 2 more. Enjoy

Regards

Daniel

I was going to ban the use of attachments all together
Most people on here use photobucket. It is free to use, your pics
will be bigger and there is no limit on file size. Also if the site crashes
your pics will not be lost.

Here's another I took today and 2 more from the last shoot.

Unfortunately I had to edit the bottom left corner, I hope it doesn't spoil it, I'm not to good with photoshop.

Maybe they do it so others on the internet cant look up the plate number and see who owns the car. and then look up the house address.

Looks good, i feel your pain having to fit P plates on the car. i think it is about time the RTA woke up and made a special set of number plates with a coloured P in them as your got them for three years. they  seem to make custom plates at a price but forget P platers.
cheers

Nice one...and awesome colour...yea the 'P' plates sometimes get on my nerve as well I have mine stuck on the inside, you those hanging ones :). They sometimes fall off (the rear one does it). I had a cop car follow me as question me coz I had only one displayed. The rear one fell off again. Anyways he let me off. phew!!!

I do it just to be on the safe side.

Identity theft amongst other reasons is never a good thing.

I'd rather the whole world not know the rego of the car I drive.

Just my $200 (considering inflation, fall of the aussie dollar, GST, the fact some journalist said it would be so etc etc   )

Anyway here are 3 more from yesterday. I decided to play around with lighting a bit.

Hope you enjoy

Regards

Daniel

First look, didn't notice, only had eyes for the car.
Second look... wow, that is a REALLY good photo! Nice work D.

PS - make sure you take a pic of my car for me at our Blue Mountains run - I like what you're doing.

Decided to change the subject head seeing as I've posted more than just a teaser now.........  :D

Thanks guys for the comments.

I'd be more than happy to play photog during the trip, but can't guarantee success. As much as I love photography as a hobby, I'm still not that good (I just pull a few good ones out of you know where every now and again)

For instance the clouds were completely out of my control, but they really do make the picture. My abilities had nothing to do with it just luck.

My display avatar was taken down in Nowra just over a month ago for the airshow they had their, unfortunately the weather didn't work in anyones favour and whilst it's a nice aircraft, the background and lighting spoil it a bit. (In case your wondering I'm an aircraft nut and most of my photography centralises around them)

Anyway I'll get some more processed over the weekend hopefully.

Regards

Daniel
