I know it has been posted before but my remote door locking is playing up again after the dealer "fixed" it with lubrication.

It can be overcome by re-inserting the ignition key and whipping it out quickly which cures the problem. So does this lock need lubricating on a regular basis or is there a  factory modified/upgraded lock now available? A 50 mile round trip to get oil  squirted into it is not on.

I haven't had it happen again since I started giving the barrel a squirt of Silicon lube every 3 months or so...

Been 18 months now since it happened. If you are in Warranty I'd go for a Warranty fix TBH.

I think the locks are still a point of weakness for Hyundai as I mentioned elsewhere my Friend's Veloster has had issues with the Actuator in her boot  :undecided:

Even the i45 in the USA has a recall for a lock issue when first released.

I doubt there is an upgraded lock  :undecided:

re-inserting the ignition key and whipping it out quickly

That sounds difficult, I must try that sometime  :whistler:

This is the case of the TSB HFE10-92-C140-FD "REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY DOOR LOCKING INOPERATIVE"
The "Switch Assy-Door Warning" has a faulty spring and needs replacement.

Almost a year on and (after neglecting my lubing duties) I had another such event. A squirt of brake cleaner followed by a dash of GT85 and all is good again.  :goodjob2:
