A Scrabble player has been thrown out of the US national championship tournament after being caught hiding blank letter tiles.

The cheat was spotted by a player at a nearby table, who noticed the youth conceal a pair of blank tiles, which can be used as wild card letters.

His days were numbered.

Or "unnumbered" in this case..

It went to court and the prosecutor drew a blank ... :whistler:

he would have been found out quickly as there is only 2 empty tiles in scrabble, if his opponent draw the 2 legal ones he would have been found out in a second.
If you want to cheat better do it the right way and have someone with a dictionary through a hidden ear plug

This is one thing which I don’t like about scrabble players they just learn some new words and think of them a superstar. There are lots of experienced scrabble player who working hard to keep competition up. Life ban for these players is a good decision.
