We lost 6 (3 couples) in a vintage light plane crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland a few days ago. It took them a couple of days just to find the wreckage owing to the rugged terrain.

A really nasty crash by all reports.

Didn't mention it in that report but the pilot survived  a crash in the same sort of plane 58 years earlier when his brother and father died.. apparently his mother didn't want him to become a pilot so he became a mechanic, but started flying planes in the nineties (maybe after his mother died - just guessing)

Very sad .. some were only your age Trevor  (way to young to go)

Yes, that received a fair amount of publicity here in the west too. Very sad indeed.
