Hello guys!

My front window wipes stop at the middle of the window and wont go down when i turn them off. At first it was about 20 cm from the bottom of the window now it is in the middle!

Has some one heard of this or does anybody know how i can fix this?

greetings from Iceland

Skúli

That's a new one for here.

Has the fitting come loose which needs  the arm to be reset and tightend up?

ps welcome

When the wipers are switched on, do you get a full sweep cycle?

Perhaps the vibration from the sub woofers has shaken them loose ???

I guess they be easy to fix, if your not confident I am sure the dealer will sort it out for ya, good luck  :goodjob:

Hi Skúli

I assume the wipers over time have been slower when they do the sweep..?

I think the problem is the axle's, where the wiper arms are fitted to the console. There are most likely some water in/around the axle, which causes corrosion around the axle.

If you still have warranty, let the dealer fix it.

If not, you can remove the wiperconsole and dismantle it, clean it, and grease it up again. I'm sure this will solve your problem.

If the wipers have not slowed down, the problem could be inside the wipermotor. I don't think that's something you can repair, I think that requires a new wipermotor.

So it's both wipers is it.

I take it they're not stuck to the screen.
