It's 2.30 am and I can't sleep.
Currently 29 degrees in Perth so it'll be warmer in the hills where we are as no chance of a sea breeze (unless it comes from Sydney ).
Still got a few days of this to go, forecast only going down to 26 tonight (Perth) and up to 41 tomorrow.
I'd estimate that would equate to 29 to 44 here.  :sweating:
We're generally hotter in summer and colder in winter than down on the flats.

Do you have a ceiling fan in your bedroom? (we do) only gets used a handful of times a year down here though..

If you don't have aircon in your bedroom I would be investing in an evaporative cooler .. they seem quite effective for the price. That sort of weather would near kill me  :disapp:

No problems at all in our house. Air conditioned if we have to, but rarely used. Overhead fans in all bedrooms AND water beds in all bedrooms. If you've ever slept on a water bed that's turned off in summer, it's great. Body heat absorbed by the bed, fan on, it can get chilly, even on a hot night.  :D :D :D

And in winter, so warm  :goodjob2:

I'm up.
Finally got a bit of (broken) sleep. I put the air con on before I went back to bed.
In these heat waves it needs to be on 24/7 but it's not practical as we don't have solar power and it's nothing to get a $1000 power bill for two months in summer in W.A. if you over do the air con (thanks to the state govt who have increased & increased utility charges).
Then after I finally got to sleep I was pestered by a rogue mosquito which decided it liked the taste of me.
I hate the high-pitched buzzing sound around your ears that wakes you up, then if you turn the light on to track it down, invariably you can't find it because they go into hiding and then you're wide awake again.
Back to bed, lights out, five minutes later just as you're dozing off......buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
So, I'm up, tired, lethargic, grumpy have a head ache but otherwise just fine.
Already have temps in the thirties (it was 30 degrees at 7.00 am) and rising......

I don't know what is wrong with me, it is already 1:50 pm and it seems I can't sleep either.  I only had 8 hours sleep last night in a very mild 10 degrees C.  And now it seems that my body won't let me sleep anymore.

Damn these restful nights.

(Sorry Dave, I feel your pain.  We used to live at Bullsbrook, and by the time the Fremantle Doctor got there it was warm).

Worst part about mosquito's when you hear them near your ear so you smack your face, and miss the mozzie.  :fum:

That's why I wait for them to land on the Missus, then give the biggest slap I can.  "What was that for?" she says.  "T'was a mossie that was about to suck your life blood," says I.

Sounds like Tasmanian foreplay to me.  :whistler:
Oh, no that's right.....
The Australian version of foreplay: "Oi, are you awake?"
