Hi all, Picked up my new i30 Premium at the end of November and loving it so far. Thought I'd join and be around other people in the world who feel the same way Couple of gripes I have with the car, maybe some others know how to fix these?I usually just Bluetooth my iPhone and it seems to be ok, I use the USB port to put a USB Drive in it with music on it and it also remembers where it was.1. When the iPod is connected and I start the car, it doesn't remember I've set the playlist to shuffle (or "Random all") even though it can remember the exact second the song was up to when I last switched off the car. Is there a way to fix this?2. I've got a rattle in the boot, not constant, only when I go over a driveway or speed bump, but I can't figure out what it is and its quite loud. I've eliminated the removable parcel shelf so far, and the seat belt buckles which I thought may have been tapping on the plastic door moulding. Cheers guys, look forward to hearing your thoughts!
I've wondered if you could plug in a USB drive, but do you have it set to Random All, and does it remember this when you switch off the car and back on again?I have my iPhone connected by bluetooth, and leave my iPod in the car permanently connected by USB. I've discovered the system leaves the setting on Random All if I don't lock the car (for example, when I've filled up with fuel) but obviously this is not practical...
I'm setting it on the multi media screen. Tried it with the iPod and the iPhone and no luck.
Hi Drew_81Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new car..
I also have the same issue in my Premium CRDi. A solid "clunk" like noise whenever the car goes over a bump large enough to slightly flex the chassis. My best guess so far is it is either rear passenger door is flexing (it sounds like it is coming from the left side of the vehicle), or the hatch is flexing. Now that someone else has tried the rear seats, that also sounds like a real possibility. It doesn't annoy me all that much, as I have a more annoying problem with the front passenger seat belt alarm going of after I drive away, when there is no one in the seat.I'm waiting for the first service to get all these things noted down & resolved where possible.

Kills the alarm.
Or take the dog for a drive.

Put some tape around the U shaped thing in the chassis, that the seat locks to the chassis.Worked for me..

Asterix only use green tape so you could see it.. (Black would be nicer)
I put masking tape around the "U shaped thing" and it seemed to lessen the occurrence. Today I added more layers, maybe it quite thick and had to push the back seats in quite hard to get it to lock. It seems to have basically disappeared now. The noise seems to be from the lock inside the seat (where it hooks onto the "U shaped thing") when going into driveways or sometimes accelerating around corners. The tape seems to give it less room to move
Yeah I'll be raising it at the 1500k service which is soon. However I'm now starting to question if its coming from the sunroof. Even with the tape I've applied, the noise (like a clunk) still happens sometimes, and I've read other threads about sunroof issues... I also found the white cream sort of substance on the sunroof railings, it was very greasy and sticky on my hands. Starting to wish I just got the Elite which was my original intention... grr
