Controversial ex Prime Minister of the UK dies, apparently from a stroke. I wasn't a fan of hers by any means but I won't be celebrating.

She must have been liked by most,she was the longest serving PM you had, don't mean to be funny, don't really like hearing of anyone passing over, but she was 78, I have a family history of Heart desease and Strokes, so with my recent history,makes me think a lot more about what I do.

Take your pick, she was a leader of our time, much like Winston Churchill was in the 1940's, the right people at the right time but their useful tenure date quickly passed by...
She left some dreadful legacies, such as far fewer council properties, and her Government spawned the "On yer Bike" attitude to job seeking... plus the greedy Yuppie culture... on balance I'd give her 4/10.

Argentina can ask all they like, the Islanders themselves just voted to stay British under their right to self determination. Clear that in Argentina as anywhere else, governments will use such political pawns as a distraction technique when things at home are getting a bit difficult...

Sad but true - the barrage of internet and Email jokes has started on a scale far wider than the recent Tesco horse meat scandal.

"Why are people so cruel" doesn't quite do it for me. I find it quite distasteful to do this on the very day.

On the day Margaret Thatcher dies - Of MUCH more importance, Annette Funicello has also passed away - from compications of the MS she has suffered for many years.

RIP Annette.
You were my first TV love.
