Dear all,

I get nice tint and I tried to put it on the glass to protect my baby from sun. I failed, twice. It is quite impossible to mount it whitout glass removal. It was frustrating.

Is there anybody who could tell me the way of removing glass...? Or it is just too complicated...

Thank you!

I can't really help you, however, I watched a demo of this in YOUTUBE and it does look complicated...    Good luck  :goodjob:

Welcome paramarin,

I can't help either but I don't think the professionals take the glass out of the back window, usually only the door ones.

I would search Youtube for the video that ASA mentioned and also some of fitting tint to the back window (you might pick up some tips)

You will have to be careful not to damage the rear demister.

It will be cheaper to get it done professionally, if you take into consideration your time, materials & frustration IMO.

Welcome to the forum.
Mine were tinted by removing the door trims but not the glass.

Thank you for your answers. It costs here about 100 euro to give smoebody to mount tints on the windows. I payed tint 10 euro and thought to do it alone.

I can see now that is complicated. Mayde I will try to remove dor trims, I will report the level of "will power"...

Yes I performed the same function on our laundry window with mirror sheet to stop people looking in if we're not home. The vids make it look easier than it actually is, but you can do it. Heart surgery looks easy too, but you have to acquire the dexterity skills, which this chap obviously has. A good video though. :Dunno:

BOOM! i just did the same thing, BUT where did you get tint wide enough,i could only find 500mm x 3000mm and it needs to be 600 wide!

now i have very amature looking 'joins' in it! ohh and i wasted the first attempt LOL

most car window tinters use a template and pre cut the tint to suit the template of the window, give it a try using a piece of stiff paper.    :winker:

Just picked it up from an auto windscreen shop. From memory, it might be 900 mm wide. See how you go from there.

Pretty sure, mirror on cars is illegal in Aus, for obvious reasons.  :fum:

It's certainly illegal in WA.
