I Bought myself a new power washer a few weeks back which has a built in detergent system and I have been fairly Impressed with that but found that in real terms the detergent was diluted too much to stay on the car for any length of time.

Have now bought a snow foam lance to attach to it and a 5l bottle of Auto Finesse Avalance to go with it, the box arrived today, unfortunately the weather forecast for this weekend is not looking great, but I will try and take photos and get them posted up for you when I next wash the car

My last two power washers have had detergent feeder bottles incorporated. Great idea, but to activate the foamer I have to twist the low-power throttle on the lance, which means I get a mere trickle of suds being sprayed. Definitely requires an additional brush to apply - something I'd never do.

Agreed Steve, this one is not bad but as you say the washer goes to low power to give the detergent and so requires a bit of work to get the suds going.  With the proper attachment and foam I am expecting great things........

i wont use my pressure washer on our cars.    its 3.5hp petrol engine spits out 2500psi water pressure,i would only feel safe spraying a car from 6mts away.

Overall feeling after using it is that I still need to find the exact setting between the foam and water to get the foam effect I want, although this was really close, the wash by hand afterwards felt much more lubricated than a normal wet then wash, and the amount of salt removed without laying a hand on the car was infinitely better than with a standard rinse (even with the power washer) than before.

I would recommend this route for any hobby detailers!
