I've got an I30 1.6 CRDI 2011 and it's 2nd service is due.

I knew it was supposed to be a major service but I am getting quotes of £307.48 & £280.95 from dealers and Halfords want £267.

Hyundai told me the service requires

Oil Filter
Oil Plug
Air filter
Pollen Filter
Brake fluid
Oil change

That doesn't sound like too major a service and are all relatively low cost parts.   Should it not include new spark plugs and the PD Filter cleaning?  I'm wondering whether it might be better not bothering with a dealer and going to a local MOT centre and get them to price up the parts Hyundai told me would be fitted by them.

It won't need spark plugs, that's for sure ;)

Welcome aboard!

I've posted up my service costs (and schedules) in the diesel servicing section (here). They'll give you an idea what to expect in terms of parts & cost.

Talking of which, I'll just move your thread over there  :goodjob:

Here in Oz the fuel filter is down as needing to be replaced at the 2nd service (30,000k).

I have no idea of the situation in the UK though.  :undecided:

Fuel filter here is changed at 3 yearly intervals, on the 2007/2008 models that both I and eye30 have/had:

Thanks Steve, but I see uts2 has a 2011 model and I vaguely recall a change in the fuel filter schedule since you bought yours....  :undecided:

That's why I included my model year. The service intervals also changed but nobody has published a later model schedule on the forum, yet.
