Dazzler alert.

Do NOT let Trish see these photos, or you'll be off to the UK.  :whistler:

It's OK Trev..  :drinks:

Depending on several factors over the next 12 months, there is about a 50/50 chance we will get to the UK in 2014.

I'm hoping to retire completely next year and travel more  :Knock:  :fingers:

Other factors like health and that come into the mix (that's where the fingers crossed and knock on wood come into it...

I would enjoy that museum and some of the big model train shows nearly as much as Trish

Didn't even know we had a York in this country, let alone a York Motor Museum. I've learnt something. Thanks, Rick. :goodjob:

That's why it's called a train museum and not a bus museum...  :winker:

Great pics.
Is the York Railway Museum housed in the old York train station? I used to go there a lot when I was a kid and when they still had steam trains operating.
As far as OUR York MOTOR Museum is concerned, been there a few times. They actually have a "Bold as Brass" Leyland P76 Executive on display there.  :D

Dave yes it used to be but I am pretty sure now the station has been turned into  private residence, been restore nicely but they no longer have the displays.
Lived up this way for nigh on thirty years and never once been in the Motor museum, stood at the door often and then turned away,I'm a cheap basted, the old antique shop up the road has some interesting vehicle in it and that cost you nix  :whistler:

Thanks Rick, but I meant the U.K. train station. I come from York originally.
Then I was talking about the W.A. motor museum.  :D

Station still there and the main line station on its original site.

No access to/from station.

From the position of the museum i would say it is on the former sidings yard and works

Me!

Well sort of.

Dad worked on railway and we live on top on the line.

House built on bridge!

Always enjoyed trains but not an anorak.
