There has been comments on the colour of oil after a few miles so i looked at mine today.

It is just over 1,000 miles since the oil change and in my car the oil is spot on the high mark and a light darkish  colour, a bit like medium/strong tea with a dash of milk.

I did oil changes on 2 diesels and 3 petrols between May and July. The petrols all still have nice, clear looking oil, as does wifes Fiesta she had new some months back. The oil in the diesels on the other hand went black after less than a week....
