It finally arrived!! My brand spankin new phantom black Hyundai i30 premium!! Omg this car is so beautiful, everyone I show it to is speechless about!! I think my local Hyundai dealership is gonna have some people lined up 

I'll upload some pictures of it later if you all like, once I have her polished and waxed. Once thing that is weird tho is that it doesn't display alburm art of mp3s I'm playing, but I swear when I test drove an active model it did... Why would they include this on a low end model and leave it out on the highest trim...?

PS, the cars name is Dita which comes from Madonnas song eroctia which I find appropriate seeing this car is a total sex god!

Thanks guys, I'll take some pics after she's been polished and waxed with black fire, which is meant to be the best combo for black paint. It is said to give the illusion of fire over ice.

First mods are already on their way! I got off eBay genuine Hyundai mud flaps and the blue floor interior lights which are meant to be easy to install because their plug and play. I'll post a detailed install guide for both if you would all like. Other planned mods are the led tail lights and DRL eye line lights (topic in electric if you wanna see what they look like) and of cause a new sound system.

Does anyone have in info about the album art issue? And if Hyundai plans to fix it in a future firmware update?

You will probably find that Black Fire is a marketing ploy....

I wonder what fire on ice looks like ....... so I'm thinking Game of Thrones when Daenerys' dragons get to the Wall.....

Anyway, my two favorite waxes for my black cars are Naviwax Dark and Victoria Wax Concours (Vic's red). Both totally different, but both epic in their own way.

You reckon? I've read nothing but good reviews on Blackfire and all state its the ultimate polish and wax combo for black paint. Polishedbliss.com even recommends it for black paint as well and their a very reputable site.

I have been detailing for a long time and this is the first I have heard of this product..... so I put it to many professional detailers and many have not heard of it and no-one would recommend it , let alone use it.....just remember , what you read is not necessarily what the product turns out to be....and you have to wonder why professional detailers throughout Australia have not heard or use it.......hmmmm....

can you supply a before and after photo of the " illusion of fire over ice"...that would be well appreciated.....

Just to add a bit more to my above post....I just got in touch with  a professional detailer friend in Hong Kong who specializes in top end market of the car world for high flyers . His specialization color is black as most company cars are black. If you go to Hong Kong you will see what I mean......Anyway I digress.....now, my mate has never heard of Black Fire and ask me about it ...so I let him know about this discussion.......

PS: just to let you know what he charges for a wash and clean...you don't get much change from a $1000...so you can imagine what a wax job will go for...

Sorry if that sounded sarcastic, i didn't intend for it to be read like that. If you do a quick search for the term "Blackfire Wet-Ice Over Fire" you'll find many glowing reviews on the combo. I only found it being carried on one Australian detailing store (ZAS) which might explain the lack of knowledge of the product in Australia. It never hurts to try new things...

IMHO I cannot see the illusion of fire over ice......they all look like a good detailed job, but nothing that tells me its a wow factor....sorry for being blunt, but I have seen literally 100's of beautiful black cars....

I like waterless wash.
i don't think its a good idea to polish a new car . a spray painter told me to leave two pack as long as possible before polishing for first time . but who know's. keep it covered with a cotton sheet don't drive it in rain. clean it every two hours with waterless wash day & night with the clean cotton sheet over it, unless driving & every time you stop go over it with waterless wash, keep it under cover at all times, i'm sure thats the best. 
if you got a white car don't worry .

oh forgot, if it starts raining when your out in new car drive into first servo to get it under cover then as soon as stops raining drive straight home wash car dry then go over with waterless wash, put clean cotton sheet over it in garage & ring a taxi

On a side note the mud flaps and foot well lights came in the post today! The mud flaps are pretty straight forward to install but what i didn't realize is that the foot well light install requires you to drill holes into the trim! Might get my local Hyundai service centre to install these. Will post pics when done.
