Yeah i've seen a lot of  Auto Glym products in store, looks pretty good but I've never used any of it... might do some research into them.

On a side note the mud flaps and foot well lights came in the post today! The mud flaps are pretty straight forward to install but what i didn't realize is that the foot well light install requires you to drill holes into the trim! Might get my local Hyundai service centre to install these. Will post pics when done.

Hope your auto wipers till work afterwards..

Each to their own with black paint. its a hard thing to keep clean at the best of times.

Update: installed mud flaps but didn't take photos because its quite straight forward. All you do is unscrew some screws holding the wall liner then replace them with new ones. The install is annoying tho because the tires are in the way... Particually the back tires because you can't steer them out of the way. I tried with the lighting mod but I got as far as pulling the pasanger A pillar off before giving up, so I'll just get the dealership to install them.

Hopefully I'll get the led tailed lights ordered soon, also looking at maybe installing the GT fogs lights. They make the car look much more aggressive!

I did go to bunnings to find a right hand screw driver but they said they didn't sell any, as for taking the tyres off, my drive way is a steep slop so it wouldn't be safe.

No offence intended  Vaero I just speak my mind.
Given your situation I'd have taken the car to a mates to do it.
Just my way, do a job once and do it right.
Enjoy the car, I take the route of wash my car weekly or fortnightly and I use a nice easy to use cheap spray on spray on shine by CarPlan called Demon Shine, used it for years and never had any issues with it, always gives good results.

yeah I made the mistake of jacking a car up on a hill... didn't end well! and it was my bosses car!! good thing he laughed about it!

i've never used mud flaps on my i30's. as would cause wind drag at speeds 100kph up. every bit counts. i save on cost of mud flap & fuel.

In fact it makes the car more aerodynamic as they deflect the wind under and around the lower wing part

So I was looking at pictures of other Australian i30's and I realized that on the back of theirs they have 2 badges, the Hyundai badge is on the left then on the right is the i30 badge. Mine on the other hand only has the i30 badge and its on the left... Why would this be?

It looks like its meant to be like that, like there's no residue or anything to indicate its fallen off (it wouldn't want to have fallen off the cars 2 weeks old!) Maybe they took to Hyundai logo away from the premium models?

remove those bloody badges, hyundai still cant get the fonts OR sizes the same, it looks so cheap and nasty, like they raided the parts bin from other models to get badges.

fishing line, and eculyptus spray, take all badges off (besides the 'H' in the middle)

Not 2014 plate... MY14 is what they call a small update late in 2013.. my wife's late 2010 build FD CW is a MY11 version.

30... As in it cost 30k? The i40 costs 40k... Makes sense to me

I understand thatat the turn of the millenium the company were looking to upgrade the model range and in doing so they also wanted a innovative name to reflect the changes they had in mind.

The i was being used by the european manufacturers to signify an upgrade to the basic models.

The idea was to name the model rsnge with the prefix i.

The small car was 10 and the next size 20 etc.

Within some they introduced the x to signify a slight change to the i model but not to the car size.

Now does that seem rational?
